MSME - Development Institute (MSME-DI), Haldwani is a wing of Micro Small & Medium Development Enterprises (MSME), New Delhi www.dcmsme.gov.in under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, headed by the Development Commissioner (MSME), is essentially a policy making body, providing industrial extension services to small industries through a network of MSME - Development Institutes and its branches in the States and Union Territories. MSMED Institute, Haldwani is the State Level office for Uttarakhand.It was set up as branch Institute in state of Uttarakhand in 1983. After formation of Uttarakhand, the Institute was upgraded to the level of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSME-DI ) is engaged in promotion & development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the State of Uttarakhand.The important consultancy services provided by the Institute include techno-economic and managerial services and basic input in the form of information required to set up new units.The entrepreneurs are guided suitably to enable them to start their own ventures.The main activity of this Institute is to render techno-economic and managerial consultancy in the field of Chemical,mechanical, leather, electrical, electronics, hosiery, glass & ceramics,industrial management,economics & statistics to the existing as well as prospective entrepreneurs including training facilities underr-Enerpreneurship Development Programmes (EDP), Management Development Programmes(MDP), Skill Development Training Programmes(SDP).
